1. Most normal people do normal work and get normal wages - but who does the beyond normal work ? Few or no one at all.

Who is willing to work open end until job done even if you work from early morning one day until late morning next day without an hour off - just to safe a plant from disaster, just to safe a production facility and hundreds of other people's jobs ? These above are but a few examples to show you that there are millions of "normal" jobs to fit your job qualifications - except that you may need to be more flexible, willing to do the very same work under harder, colder climate or working conditions or during times of day or week when others are going to disco, hugging their loved ones or having fun in other ways. Someone needs to run this planet's economy even during off-duty hours, on weekends and during holidays, during rainy season, in frosty, wet climate or during hurricanes.

The difference is that those willing to do those jobs under such extraordinary conditions most of the time have a very substantial higher income - for the same job and same hours per week - just as a reward for doing something extraordinary that needs to be done.

Needless to say that those extraordinary job performers are those your boss can rely on, and one day you may get a totally different reward or incentive on top of all your increased payments.
